Xbox App Introduces PlayStation Game Integration

Big Xbox games are coming to PS5. The important part? A lot of Sony games are still exclusive to Sony products.  But now, a new update to the Xbox PC app shows a bunch of major PlayStation games in a new light.

New Xbox PC App Features

The Xbox PC app has a new aggregated library feature, courtesy of Microsoft. Gamers can access and view their entire gaming library across various PC storefronts including Epic and Steam. According to the news, this means the PC ported PlayStation games can now be exhibited in the Xbox app, like Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

PlayStation Games on Xbox Handheld

Microsoft recently announced that the ROG Xbox Ally handheld device is on the way. The device will support playing Sony’s PlayStation games that have already come to PC. Nonetheless, users should be warned that the ports won’t allow Xbox achievements or anything like that.

Microsoft’s Ambitious Vision

Microsoft’s Gaming Strategy is Based on More than Steam Replacement While earlier attempts failed to rival Valve’s Steam, the latest effort seems to be about collating Steam’s gigantic library with Xbox services.

Future Xbox Consoles and Devices

The future for the Xbox brand holds numerous questions. According to Sarah Bond, the president of Xbox, the makers of the next-generation console are developing a platform that will allow players to play their games anywhere. This is possible because players won’t be locked into one console or one storefront.

Shifts in Xbox’s Hardware Strategy

According to reports, Microsoft no longer plans for an exclusive Xbox handheld so it will lend support to third-party options like the ROG Xbox Ally. Also, a partnership with Meta has been established to create a limited-edition Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition VR headset. You will only be able to get this exclusive VR headset for a limited time.
