World Series of Warzone Champion Lenun Declares Free Agency for 2026

The professional UK Call of Duty: Warzone player ‘Lenun’ has announced his free agency for the 2026 competitive season. The announcement comes as quite a surprise, as Lenun was competing under Team Vision in the Esports World Cup 2025 and World Series of Warzone 2025 Global Finals just weeks ago.

Departure from Team Vision

On 16 October, Lenun announced his exit from Team Vision via social media, just two weeks after winning the World Series of Warzone Global Finals in Las Vegas, NV. This announcement is huge because Lenun and Team Vision were the first European trio who win a championship at one of Warzone’s biggest tournaments.

In 2025, Team Vision became one of the best Warzone esports teams. Lenun, ‘Echo’ and Ethan ‘Fifakill’ Pink performed very well in the major tournaments.

Impact on EMEA Warzone Scene

Lenun is expected to go in free agency, which will cause big roster changes in the EMEA competitive. Gamers are probably trying to set up their latest squads soon after the launch of the latest Warzone title, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Activision has chosen to remain tight-lipped about the future of its battle royale esports programme after the Global Finals. However, Warzone fanatics can rejoice as the game will be one of 24 titles at the Esports World Cup 2026. This event is taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during July and August.

Community Reactions

The Warzone community has responded to the announcement in varied ways. The esports talent who is on-air is Ellen ‘Dreamcrazzy’ Elizabeth Jean. In a recent stream, he expressed his confusion over the timing. Meanwhile, other gamers in the community have started speculating about whom the champion player could be teaming up with.

Being the current champion of the World Series of Warzone, Lenun will likely get plenty of offers from organisations wanting a proven competitor with success on Warzone’s biggest stage.
