Wizzrobe to Miss FAST FALL$ as Nouns Esports Retracts Free Flight

In a surprising turn of events, renowned Super Smash Bros. Melee professional Justin ‘Wizzrobe’ Hallett has announced his withdrawal from the upcoming FAST FALL$ tournament. The decision comes after Wizzrobe revealed that Nouns Esports failed to fulfill their promise of providing a free flight, which was initially assured through a fan vote program.

The Importance of FAST FALL$

FAST FALL$ serves as a crucial event on the road to the eagerly awaited Nounsvitational Tokyo 2025, a significant milestone for top Melee players. Despite securing enough fan votes to earn a free flight and accommodation to the tournament, Wizzrobe cited the “disorganization” of the event as a reason for his non-participation, sharing his decision with fans on Discord.

Controversy Over Vote-In Program

Earlier this year, the Vote-In program offered by Nouns Esports promised top-voted Melee players an all-expenses-paid journey to Tokyo. Wizzrobe, ranked 9th in the SSBMRank Summer 2025, was among those who were supposed to receive these benefits for FAST FALL$. However, miscommunication and alleged unauthorized changes resulted in his flight being reassigned to another competitor, Jamie Geary.

Wizzrobe expressed frustration, stating, “I feel like it’s not fair to Envy and my fans to have to pay for a flight that we already earned through voting.”

Accusations and Reactions

Nouns Esports responded to the situation by highlighting suspicious activity surrounding Wizzrobe’s Discord concerning the voting process. Despite these claims, fans argued that Wizzrobe simply shared voting methods without engaging in any substantial manipulation. There have been no formal statements disqualifying Wizzrobe, leaving the community in confusion.

As this situation develops, the gaming community remains eager for further clarification from Nouns Esports.
