IEM Chengdu 2025 Playoffs Teams

In a format familiar from other top-tier events this year, six teams have advanced from double-elimination GSL groups, with three emerging from each of Groups A and B. The group winners have booked their spots in the semi-finals, while second and third-placed teams are set to clash in the quarter-finals.

Team Falcons

Team Falcons aims to capitalize on their consistent performances, eyeing victory after a near-miss at ESL Pro League Season 22. Players Ilya ‘m0NESY’ Osipov and Maksim ‘kyousuke’ Lukin have been pivotal, often leading the scoreboard. Their perfect 2-0 victories against TYLOO, Team Spirit, and Astralis secured their semi-final berth. They await their next challenge against either FURIA or The MongolZ.

MOUZ

MOUZ has been a powerhouse in 2025, consistently finishing in the top four. Despite a dip in the November Valve Regional Standings, they conquered FaZe Clan, Team Vitality, and FURIA to claim Group B’s top seed. Next, they face the winner of Astralis and Team Vitality, aiming for another grand final and solid preparation for the Major.

Other notable teams include Astralis, who have shown potential with Emil ‘Magisk’ Reif’s reintegration, and FURIA, whose international roster has been performing brilliantly. Meanwhile, Team Vitality seeks to add another trophy to their collection, and The MongolZ, bolstered by stand-in Unudelger ‘controlez’ Baasanjargal, has secured the final playoff spot. The stage is set for thrilling playoff bouts as these teams battle for supremacy in Chengdu.
