VALORANT Glitched Invitational Set to Enhance Nordic Esports Landscape

A new collaborative venture between Glitched and Riot Games has been announced with the launch of the VALORANT Glitched Invitational tournament. The competition will be featured at the debut edition of the Swedish esports and gaming festival in June, with the primary goal of strengthening the esports ecosystem throughout the Nordic region.

Participating Teams and Format

The VALORANT Glitched Invitational will welcome eight teams to compete at Glitched’s inaugural event in Jönköping, Sweden, scheduled to run from 13th to 16th June 2025.

The confirmed participating teams include:

  • HAVU
  • Bitfix
  • WYLDE
  • Formulation
  • Metizport
  • Lilmix
  • The two finalists from Svenska Onlineligan (SOL)

To ensure comprehensive Nordic representation, the two SOL finalists will complete the eight-team roster. Competitors will battle for their share of a 100,000 SEK (approximately $9,500) prize pool.

For viewers unable to attend in person, the finals will be streamed on the VALORANT Northern Europe Twitch channel, allowing global audiences to follow the competition.

Riot Games’ Broader Involvement

The partnership between Riot Games and the esports festival extends beyond the VALORANT Glitched Invitational. The collaboration includes initiatives supporting grassroots esports development and various on-site activities organized by the game developer.

Festival attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in open VALORANT and League of Legends tournaments. Each of these competitions offers a 25,000 SEK (approximately $2,375) prize pool.

Beyond tournament play, Riot Games will establish a dedicated VALORANT booth featuring a variety of activities ranging from photo opportunities to free-for-all matches.

Established in 2024, Glitched emerges as a fresh gaming and esports festival aiming to revolutionize in-person events. Founded by several former DreamHack business executives, the festival focuses on esports competitions and LAN parties where attendees can bring their personal computers, join tournaments, and enjoy gaming with fellow enthusiasts.
