The Game Awards 2025 brought an exciting wave of announcements, but none stood out more than the return of celebrated indie developer Jonathan Blow. Known for his work on Braid and The Witness, Blow and his team at Thekla, Inc. unveiled their ambitious new project, Order of the Sinking Star.

An Ambitious Puzzle Adventure

Order of the Sinking Star is set to launch on PC in 2026, promising to push the boundaries of puzzle gaming. Described by Blow as “the biggest game I’ve worked on,” this narrative puzzle adventure is a massive undertaking, featuring over a thousand intricately designed puzzles that blend various worlds into a unique experience. The game has been crafted with contributions from notable designers such as Alan Hazelden, Sean Barrett, Jonah Ostroff, Zach Polansky, Patrick Traynor, and Marc ten Bosch, among others.

Blow expressed his excitement about the project in a press release, highlighting its complexity and depth.
