TenZ Delays VALORANT Community Awards to February 2026

The VALORANT Community Awards Show, organized by celebrated esports personality Tyson ‘TenZ’ Van Ngo, has been postponed until 2026. Initially scheduled for December 15th in Los Angeles, California, this highly anticipated event was set to roll out with the backing of Riot Games and Red Bull. Fans and industry insiders alike had been eagerly awaiting the awards ceremony, which aims to honor achievements within both the VALORANT Champions Tour and Game Changers communities.

The New Date for VALORANT Awards

Instead of its original December date, the event is now set for February 4th, 2026, at 9 PM PST (5 AM GMT). TenZ announced this change to accommodate more attendees, ensuring a larger live audience for the ceremony. Alongside the new date, the former Sentinels player hinted that finalists for each category will soon be revealed. The rescheduling aims to provide the best possible live show experience for players, teams, and fans alike.

The Growth Of Awards Ceremonies

Esports and gaming awards are gaining momentum as more scenes hold end-of-year ceremonies. Riot Games, for instance, will host the 2025 LCK Awards for League of Legends on December 19th. The League Awards 2025, organized in collaboration with Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont, recognized Jeong ‘Chovy’ Ji-hoon as the Player of the Year. Earlier this year, the Clash Royale League (CRL) Awards by Supercell celebrated top talents in their mobile strategy title. Beyond esports, mainstream gaming events like The Game Awards continue to spotlight esports players and organizations, featuring categories such as Best Esports Team, Best Esports Athlete, and Best Esports Game.
