Team Liquid’s New Frontier

Team Liquid’s jersey will proudly feature Duelbits’ branding at the upcoming Counter-Strike 2’s StarLadder Major in Budapest. This significant event marks their first venture into a major global sports betting sponsorship. Team Liquid is poised to capture a share of the impressive $1.25 million prize pool as they advance into Swiss Stage 2.

Duelbits, established in 2020, is renowned for its expertise in the crypto gambling space. Their collaboration with Team Liquid isn’t their first foray into esports, having previously partnered with Brazilian esports entity paiN Gaming in 2022.

Expanding Alliances

Team Liquid continues to diversify its roster of partners, joining forces with companies like Alienware, Blacklyte, Sui, and VISA. Their latest venture was with the MMORPG, Sword of Justice, underscoring their commitment to broadening their sponsorship horizons.

Victor Goossens, Team Liquid founder and Co-CEO, emphasized the importance of responsible engagement in sports betting, noting, “Sports betting has always been interesting to Team Liquid because it adds a new layer to how fans engage with competition.”

Recent Competitive Achievements

In recent months, Team Liquid has climbed the ranks, holding 11th place in the latest VRS rankings. Their performance has been noteworthy, with a top-four finish at the FISSURE Playground #2 and two third-place finishes at the Birch Cup and the CS Asia Championships. The journey, however, met a stumbling block when they were bested by SAW at the PGL Masters Bucharest quarterfinals.
