T1 Set to Launch Their Next Base Camp in Busan

In an exciting development for esports enthusiasts, the Korean powerhouse T1 has announced the opening of its second T1 Base Camp, a cutting-edge PC café located in Busan. This new venue is designed as a multi-concept entertainment space, set to officially open its doors on December 12th in the vibrant Gunam-ro district of Haeundae, following the success of the original location in Seoul.

T1 Base Camp Busan is more than just an offline venue. It is a new type of esports hub where fans can gather, play, watch matches, and connect through T1’s content and culture.

### A New Venue for Gaming Enthusiasts

The T1 Base Camp in Busan will initially offer early fan access and special events during a soft opening starting on December 10th. Designed to attract both dedicated T1 supporters and the wider gaming community, the café introduces the innovative “Fortress” design concept. The space features a circular layout, dynamic flow, futuristic lighting, and modern materials, creating an immersive gaming environment. Players can enjoy high-spec PC zones, and private gaming rooms, and browse T1’s official merchandise. The ‘T1 PUB’ will serve as a cultural lounge where fans can enjoy food and drinks while watching esports games on large screens.

### Hub for Player Development

The Busan location is set to become a pivotal center for player development, supporting 6v6 competitive play and featuring a dedicated sim racing section and the T1 Cube. This space will host exhibitions, brand showcases, and interactive events, including hands-on programs. It will also serve as a strategic hub for nurturing new esports talent through amateur tournaments, training sessions, and player development programs, including tryouts for T1’s third team.

### Expanding the T1 Brand

This latest expansion is a significant milestone for T1, following the organization’s efforts to raise a $35 million funding round last year. T1’s CEO, Joe Marsh, highlighted the success of the first T1 Base Camp, which quickly became the leading PC gaming café in South Korea, significantly boosting the company’s revenue. COO Josh Ahn emphasized the importance of the Busan location as a unique esports hub, enhancing the T1 brand experience and supporting the growth of esports communities throughout the country.
