SUPERVIVE to Conclude Live-Service in 2026

Theorycraft Games has made a significant announcement that marks the end of an era for its ambitious MOBA battle royale, SUPERVIVE. The game, known for its unique blend of strategy and action, will cease its live-service operations early next year, a decision that reflects the challenges it faced in sustaining a competitive player base.

Sunsetting SUPERVIVE

Jessica Nam, the Executive Producer of SUPERVIVE, confirmed the closure date as February 26th, 2026. In a recent Fireside Chat, Nam acknowledged the hurdles the game has encountered, stating, “As time has gone on, it’s become clear that our changes haven’t been effective enough, and bringing in new players has only gotten harder.” Despite a strong initial download rate, many players have not remained engaged, leading to this difficult decision. The maintenance and support of the game were ultimately deemed unsustainable for Theorycraft Games.

The final patch, 2.04, is set to release soon, introducing a new ‘Prisma Party’ mode, character balance adjustments, and a free cosmetic bundle. This update will be the last planned before the game concludes its live-service next year.

The Rise and Decline of SUPERVIVE

SUPERVIVE made its global debut on July 24th, 2025, following a successful early access period on Steam that saw nearly 48,000 peak players. However, the player base has dramatically dwindled, with recent numbers reaching only 400 at peak times. Additionally, the absence of console ports for major platforms like PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S further limited its reach. Originally known as Project Loki, SUPERVIVE was the first title from Theorycraft Games, capturing players with its free-to-play isometric MOBA setup and battle royale dynamics.

SUPERVIVE Venture into Esports

Despite the challenges in maintaining its player base, SUPERVIVE has been an active participant in the esports scene. The Creator Cup invitational, hosted by Theorycraft Games between November 22nd and 24th, 2024, drew significant interest with over 84,000 peak viewers, as reported by Esports Charts. Throughout 2025, various events, such as the Saturday Night SUPERVIVE competitions, kept the community engaged on both sides of the Atlantic. Unfortunately, without an official competitive circuit, the future of SUPERVIVE in the esports arena now hangs in the balance as the game prepares to sunset.
