Stellar Blade Complete Edition Coming to PC on June 11 with Enhanced Features

The highly anticipated PC version of Stellar Blade will be available on Steam starting June 11, complete with numerous PC-specific enhancements, according to a trailer that was temporarily published by Sony Interactive Entertainment on the PlayStation YouTube channel.

Although the trailer was subsequently removed, it revealed that a Complete Edition of Shift Up’s action game would be launching for both PC and PS5. This edition will include the base game along with all downloadable content released since the game’s successful PS5 debut in April 2024.

PC players can look forward to several technical improvements including AI upscaling through Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3 technologies, unlimited framerate options, Japanese and Chinese voice acting, ultrawide display compatibility, enhanced environmental textures, and full DualSense controller support with haptic feedback and adaptive trigger functionality.

New Boss Fight and Costumes Revealed

The leaked trailer also showcased an exciting new boss battle against Mann, Leader of the Sentinels, alongside 25 additional costumes that are expected to become available for both PC and PS5 versions of the game.

Observant viewers noted that the trailer concludes with a scene featuring Eve releasing a memory stick—a sequence absent from the original game. This has sparked speculation about a potential new ending or forthcoming downloadable content.

Commercial Success and Future Plans

Stellar Blade has proven to be tremendously successful for Korean developer Shift Up, generating £43 million in royalties during their last financial year. The company anticipates that the PC version will exceed sales of the PS5 version, which sold more than 1 million copies within two months of release. Shift Up has indicated they are considering developing another title in the franchise.

The game places players in control of Eve as she engages in fast-paced action role-playing combat against mysterious invaders to reclaim Earth. The title received positive reception following its release, quickly reaching the milestone of one million copies sold.

According to industry assessments, while Stellar Blade excels in crucial aspects of action gameplay, it falls short in character development, storytelling elements, and certain RPG mechanics that prevent it from achieving the highest ranks within its genre.
