The Spanish Call of Duty Federation (FECOD) has taken a significant step in bolstering the Call of Duty scene in Spain by partnering with the renowned esports tournament platform, Torneum. This collaboration marks an exciting new chapter for both organizations as they embark on a journey to enhance the competitive experience for gamers in the region.
The Spanish Call of Duty Federation (FECOD) has announced a partnership with esports tournament platform Torneum. The collaboration aims to develop a Call of Duty esports circuit during the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 season.
Torneum’s Role in the New Circuit
Announced on October 27th, 2025, Torneum will take the lead in hosting online tournaments, providing ’24/7 matchmaking’ to keep the community engaged. Further details on the initiative are expected to be revealed soon. Torneum, one of Spain’s largest esports platforms, has a rich history with the Call of Duty franchise, having previously hosted Call of Duty: Warzone tournaments.
Anna Requensens, CEO of Torneum, commented on the partnership, “The agreement between Torneum and FECOD represents a strategic alliance to strengthen the Call of Duty scene in Spain. With this collaboration, we want to support FECOD’s tournament structure and create new growth opportunities for the entire community.”
Torneum is now the second partner to join forces with FECOD, emphasizing its commitment to nurturing the Spanish Call of Duty scene. Notably, in September, the Federation joined hands with the Call of Duty League franchise Miami Heretics to support the launch of a national circuit.
Further Growth
Earlier this year, the Toronto Ultra hosted a significant event in Madrid, marking the first European CDL event since 2020. This event has set the stage for further expansion of the Call of Duty scene in Europe. The establishment of a national league, supported by Miami Heretics, presents a promising opportunity to identify and nurture emerging talent within the country.
With the backing of Torneum, the Spanish Call of Duty Federation looks to establish a solid foundation for a national circuit, offering a competitive platform for aspiring teams and players to showcase their skills.
