Spacestation Gaming, ENVY, and NTMR Bid Farewell to Their The Finals Teams

In a surprising shift within the esports landscape, several major organizations have decided to disband their teams competing in the tactical FPS game, The Finals, just ahead of its 2026 competitive season. Notable names like Spacestation Gaming, ENVY, and reigning champion NTMR have all announced they are parting ways with their players following the conclusion of the inaugural Grand Major.

Despite these roster changes, none of these organizations are leaving The Finals esports scene entirely. They remain committed members of the Partner Team Programme, showcasing in-game bundles as part of their ongoing involvement.

Performance Insights from 2025

ENVY made waves by signing their team in July 2025. Entering the Grand Major at DreamHack Stockholm, they secured their spot by winning the North America Closed Qualifier, ultimately finishing fifth among 16 global teams. Now, ENVY is parting ways with players ‘Blizzy’, Jaden ‘stewj’, and ‘stn2k’ as they look forward to the new year.

Meanwhile, Spacestation Gaming entered The Finals scene in August 2025, later adding Zairek ‘Hogz’ Poll as a coach. Although their start was less spectacular, placing seventh in the North America Closed Qualifier, they managed to clinch third place in the Grand Major. As they prepare for future opportunities, Spacestation is saying goodbye to Brandon ‘Graduating’, Sterling ‘lamp’ Kimball, Noah ‘n0rmalize’, and coach Hogz.

NTMR, the Grand Major 2025 champions, are also making strategic changes. After signing their roster in August and adding coach ‘zee’ in September, they defied expectations by claiming first place in the prestigious event at DreamHack Stockholm, taking home the largest share of a $100,000 prize pool. As they move forward, NTMR has released Brayden ‘Gremlin’ Hanson and James ‘UNI’ Takai, while Jordan ‘Lasagna’ Williams and zee remain with the organization. CEO Jack ‘Fl4k’ Ketchum expressed gratitude for the players’ contributions and highlighted their legendary status within NTMR.

What’s Next for The Finals?

Building on the success of its first official in-person LAN event in 2025, The Finals is set to return stronger in 2026. Embark Studios, the game’s developers, have revealed plans for an expanded esports circuit that will encompass more regions and integrate community events and initiatives, promising an exciting future for the competitive scene.
