While most members of this enemy faction will attack on sight, certain individuals like Demineur offer side quests instead. This particular encounter occurs in the Flying Waters dungeon and remains completely optional, unlike some other Nevron interactions.
At this stage of the game, your party should include Gustave, Lune, and Maelle. Though you can immediately engage Demineur in combat upon meeting them, taking time to listen to their request proves far more beneficial.
Choosing to spare Demineur unlocks substantially better rewards later in the game. Players seeking immediate gratification can attack right away, but this approach permanently eliminates access to an exclusive weapon designed specifically for Lune.
Locating Demineur’s Impact Mine
The quest begins at the Expedition 59 save point known as Noco’s Hut in the Flying Waters dungeon. Moving forward from this location, you’ll exit the valley and spot two enemies positioned before a massive structure. Navigate around this structure by heading left, then circling to the right.
Continue exploring until you discover a giant jar tunnel. Enter this unusual passage and emerge from the opposite end to find Demineur waiting. When the interaction prompt appears, select “Examine” rather than “Attack” to initiate dialogue.
Your party members will observe that this particular Nevron typically carries a mine, but Demineur lacks one. The group then decides to help by locating a suitable replacement.
After speaking with Demineur, head right to encounter a small platforming challenge. Complete the initial jumps, then look right again to spot a glowing pink item on the ground. Navigate the platforms to reach this object and collect the Impact Mine.
Return to Demineur with the Impact Mine to complete their request. They’ll reward you with Lune’s Deminerim weapon, which specializes in lightning elemental damage and provides valuable abilities including reduced AP costs and enhanced lightning skill damage.

Conversely, if you’ve eliminated any of these Nevrons, including Demineur, Blanche becomes hostile. This challenging battle requires approximately level 80 to handle effectively. Victory against Blanche yields 10 Colour of Lumina and two Grandiose Chroma Catalysts.
