In RoadCraft, catastrophe has struck and vital infrastructure lies in ruins, leaving players to rebuild civilization using heavy machinery and specialized vehicles. The primary objective involves restoring electrical power to derelict facilities, effectively breathing life back into dormant industrial operations. Among the initial challenges players face in RoadCraft is locating and successfully retrieving a generator from a dangerous abandoned facility. While this task may appear straightforward on the surface, navigating to this potentially hazardous location and extracting the vital equipment presents unexpected difficulties. This comprehensive guide will walk players through each step of this crucial mission.
Navigating to the Abandoned Facility in RoadCraft
Before beginning the generator recovery mission, players must first reach the Abandoned Facility. To initiate this objective in RoadCraft, follow the directional marker that appears on screen until reaching the Abandoned Facility, which consists of an old construction site positioned directly southeast of the Forward Base.
The most efficient route to the facility utilizes the road that connects it to the Forward Base. Although this path includes several muddy sections and features a slight curve, it remains largely a direct route to the Abandoned Facility. Given that this mission occurs during the early stages of the game, players can utilize their Scout vehicle to reach the destination with maximum speed.
To gain entry to the building, navigate to the southwest section of the area and push the raised ramp to create an accessible pathway. As players approach the facility, a tutorial window will appear, instructing them to activate their Object Scanner. This serves as the cue to scan upward rather than horizontally.
From outside the building structure, use the scanner to identify the container positioned on the top floor. Beginning from the wall located directly west of the container, drive down the dirt path until a ramp becomes visible. In front of this ramp, players will observe a wooden board marked with distinctive yellow and black tape. Drive through this barrier to enter the building.
Locating the Generator in RoadCraft
As players drive up the ramp, two separate paths will become apparent on the left side. One path leads to a second wooden board via an upper ramp, while the alternative route also features an additional board. Carefully push the first ramp with gentle pressure without driving over the edge. Subsequently, return down the ramp and flip the other wooden board to construct a ramp-bridge. With this task completed, players now have direct access to the generator. Use the winch mechanism to connect the generator to the rear section of the vehicle in RoadCraft.
As preparation begins for departure, a fourth wooden board will be visible on the left side. Push through this barrier, and it will guide players down another ramp to the abandoned facility’s designated quest area.
Once the generator is brought into the abandoned facility’s quest circle, the current objective reaches completion, rewarding players with 1,200 XP and $2,520 in cash.
