The fifth open event of the 2025 RLCS season has wrapped up, with top teams from each region claiming victory and securing crucial RLCS points. The competition was fierce as squads battled for prize money, Major qualification, and a head start in the ongoing Open 6.

Europe: Dignitas Triumphs Over Karmine Corp

Europe’s Open 5 saw a thrilling showdown between Dignitas and Karmine Corp, with Dignitas emerging victorious in the playoffs. The win earned them $15,000 and 18 RLCS points, strengthening their third-place position in the standings behind Team Vitality and Karmine Corp.

Karmine Corp, fresh off their Open 4 win, put up a strong fight but fell just short in the finals. With 899 teams competing, Europe remains one of the most stacked regions in Rocket League esports.

North America: NRG Continues Dominance

NRG proved once again why they’re the team to beat in North America, securing back-to-back Open victories. Their latest win in Open 5 added another 18 points to their tally, putting them firmly at the top of the regional leaderboard with 36 points.

Open 6 is already underway, and NRG has started strong with a flawless 3-0 record in the early rounds.

Oceania: Wildcard Secures Back-to-Back Wins

Wildcard maintained their dominance in Oceania, taking home $9,000 and 18 RLCS points. Their consistent performances have solidified their spot as the region’s top team, and they’ve already locked in their place at the Raleigh Major.

South America: FURIA Outplays Team Secret

South America’s Open 5 featured an intense rematch between FURIA and Team Secret, with FURIA coming out on top this time. The 4-0 sweep in the Grand Final earned them $9,000 and 18 points, tying them with Team Secret at the top of the standings.

Both teams are frontrunners for Major qualification, making the upcoming Open 6 a crucial battleground.

MENA: Team Falcons Remain Unstoppable

Team Falcons continued their winning streak in the Middle East and North Africa region, defeating ROC Esports 4-0 in the Grand Final. With Open 4 and Open 5 victories under their belt, they’ve secured their spot at the Raleigh Major.

Open 6 is now in progress, with teams like Twisted Minds and Al Qadsiah fighting for the second Major qualification spot.

APAC: Virtus.pro Claims Another Victory

APAC’s Open 5 saw Virtus.pro dominate once again, defeating Movistar KOI twice—first in a tight quarter-final and then decisively in the Grand Final. Their second Open win this cycle puts them at 36 points, making them strong contenders for the region’s sole Major spot.

Sub-Sahara: FUT Esports in Flawless Form

FUT Esports delivered a masterclass in Sub-Saharan Open 5, cruising through the group stage and playoffs without dropping a single game. Their dominant run included clean sweeps against 77Blocks and Cristobal Colon, showcasing their regional supremacy.

What’s Next in RLCS?

With Open 6 already underway in some regions, teams are pushing hard for final Major qualification. The RLCS Raleigh Major kicks off on June 26th, setting the stage for high-stakes international competition.

Later in the year, the RLCS World Championship will take place at Lyon’s LDLC Arena from September 9th to 14th, where 20 teams—16 from regional standings and four from last-chance qualifiers—will battle for glory.
