A new addition to the fighting game community is on the horizon as Invincible VS, inspired by the popular Amazon series and comics, prepares for its debut. With its anticipated launch set for April 30th, 2026, fans are eager to see how the game will animate their favorite characters in a competitive setting. This title promises not just to satisfy fans of the series, but also to introduce fresh elements to the fighting game genre.
Exciting Roster and New Characters
Invincible VS will arrive with a lineup of 18 fighters, featuring a brand-new character named Ella Mental. This original character, brought to life by the voice of American rapper and singer Tierra Whack, was unveiled through a captivating trailer during The Game Awards 2025. Co-created by Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker, Ella Mental showcases an impressive Ultimate Attack utilizing the four elements: air, water, earth, and fire. The game will be available across multiple platforms, including PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. Pre-orders are open, offering both a standard and a deluxe edition, the latter including exclusive cosmetics and a year-one character pass.
Invincible VS in the Competitive Scene
The game has already captured the attention of the fighting game community (FGC) following a successful closed alpha in November. Plans for the competitive future are bright, with Invincible VS slated to be a featured title at the Evolution Championship Series (Evo) 2026 in Las Vegas from June 26th to 28th. As a 3v3 tag fighting game, it will join the ranks of 12 other FGC tournaments at the event. With the FGC ecosystem constantly evolving, Invincible VS aims to carve out its niche among other notable titles, such as Riot Games’ 2XKO and Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, which have already made significant impacts this year.
This new entrant is poised to deliver thrilling competitive experiences, fostering anticipation and excitement in both players and spectators worldwide.
