The excitement is building as PUBG Mobile unveils its highly anticipated esports roadmap for 2026. Fans and competitors alike can look forward to a revamped competitive structure that promises to elevate the game to new heights. With a series of thrilling events and substantial prize pools, next year is set to be a landmark for the game’s esports scene.

2026 PUBG Mobile Esports Format

The 2026 PUBG Mobile season is divided into two action-packed segments, each kicking off with national and regional qualifiers leading to the prestigious PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) tournaments. KRAFTON has announced over 30 PUBG Mobile National Championship events across more than eight regions, with the best teams advancing to PMGO events. Next year will feature two Global Opens in addition to the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PUBG Mobile Global Championship.

The PMGO has undergone a format revision, featuring two major events where teams accumulate points toward their Global Championship aspirations. Professional teams receive invitations to these qualifiers based on their stellar performances during the 2025 season.

2026 PUBG Mobile Esports Events

Kicking off 2026, the PUBG Mobile Global Open Season 1 will see top teams battling it out in Southeast Asia for a slice of a $500,000 prize pool. The thrilling competition continues with the PUBG Mobile World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, boasting a massive $3 million prize pool. As Season 2 unfolds, competitors will head to Pakistan for another PMGO opportunity to win $500,000.

Finally, the season culminates in the much-anticipated PUBG Mobile Global Championship in Turkey, where another $3 million awaits, bringing the total prize pool for the year to an impressive $7 million. In addition, the season will see upgrades to the in-game tournament system and enhanced entertainment experiences at offline events. KRAFTON is also planning improvements for third-party tournament support, ensuring smooth operations for future events.

PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2025

Before the curtain rises on the 2026 season, the spotlight is on the Grand Finals of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2025, taking place this weekend in Bangkok, Thailand. Sixteen outstanding teams will vie for the ultimate title over three thrilling days (December 12th – 14th). Defending champions Dplus are eager to clinch the title once again.
