Project Blender Phase 4 LAN Finals Called Off

The much-anticipated Project Blender LAN Finals for Phase 4, set in Paris, have been unexpectedly canceled. Challenges with logistics and visa issues cited by the organizers have forced a change in plans. Instead, the tournament will wrap up online, with the casting team providing live coverage from Paris.

Online Conclusion for VALORANT’s Inaugural Tournament

Project Blender’s inaugural VALORANT tournament, which was intended to have its Grand Final and Third Place Match held offline in Paris, will now conclude through an online format. The tournament started in October and recently entered Phase 4, featuring 16 teams, including well-known names like Team Vitality, competing for a €40,000 prize pool. The competition progresses from the Round of 16, leading to the Quarter Final on December 12th, with finals on December 13th and 14th, all following a single-elimination format. Due to logistical challenges and visa issues, the finals will now be played online instead of in Paris.

What is Project Blender?

Announced in July, Project Blender offers a unique off-season tournament for EMEA VALORANT players across all competitive levels. It introduces novel rules like the ‘Blender Draft’, which prevents teams from reselecting agents used in previous rounds. The tournament comprises four phases, each with distinct participation criteria and seeding methods. Notably, Phase 2 included a co-ed event called Blender Spotlight, allowing the winning team a direct advance to Phase 3.
