South Korean rock band N.Flying has once again captivated fans by releasing a dynamic cover medley of two renowned League of Legends esports anthems. The band’s latest venture into the world of gaming soundtracks showcases their versatility and appeal, particularly to fans of the popular game series.
N.Flying’s video, featuring covers of GODS and Legends Never Die, was released on November 9th, coinciding with the 2025 World Championship Grand Finals. Originally performed by K-pop group New Jeans and Against The Current, these anthems continue to resonate with the League of Legends community.
Celebrating Iconic Game Anthems
The original GODS track was introduced by New Jeans for Worlds 2023, while Legends Never Die gained popularity during the 2017 World Championship thanks to Against The Current. N.Flying’s homage to these tracks adds a fresh twist, connecting past and present fans alike. Against the Current’s vocalist, Chrissy Costanza, contributed to this year’s Worlds opening ceremony, further enriching the esports music scene with a medley of past anthems.
N.Flying: From Covers to Originals
N.Flying, debuting in 2013, has been known for both their cover performances and original music. Their hit song Rooftop, released in 2016, has garnered over 100 million views on YouTube, showcasing the band’s widespread popularity. Interestingly, N.Flying is no stranger to League of Legends music, having previously covered tracks like Warriors, Enemy, RISE, and POP/STARS in 2022.
K-pop and League of Legends
The intersection of K-pop and League of Legends is a well-established phenomenon. Riot Games has collaborated with numerous K-pop artists, incorporating stars into their virtual groups like HEARTSTEEL and K/DA. The trend continues with crossovers such as THE BOYZ’s collaboration with T1 for a Worlds anthem, and Faker’s cameo in Stray Kids’ music video Ceremony. In celebration of League of Legends: Wild Rift’s fifth anniversary, Aespa’s NINGNING released a special collaborative track, further intertwining these two cultural powerhouses.
