The Marvel Rivals Ignite Grand Finals will be hosted at DreamHack Atlanta from 27 October to 2 November 2025. Twelve selected teams from Ignite Stage 2 qualified for this event. This will be a grand LAN event for Marvel Rivals with a prize pool of over R18.5 million, the biggest ever.

With the tournament soon approaching, let us look at the storylines, possible contenders and meta developments in the coming tournament.
100 Thieves: Poised for Glory?
100 Thieves has gone through a remarkable transformation in Marvel Rivals esports. The team shocked the world with their victory at the 2025 North America Invitational. Since then, they have had mixed results, finishing as the runner-up at the Season 1 Championships and placing third at the Mid-Season Finals.
They showed tremendous fight during America’s Stage 2. In the Grand Finals, 100 Thieves conquered their longstanding rivals ENVY with a solid 4-1 scoreline, thus ending their campaign after making quick work of Stage 1 Champions Sentinels (who were eliminated from the Playoffs’ Lower Brackets).
100 Thieves’ hopes of winning the championship as one of the 3 qualified teams from the Americas depend on their ability to beat European teams.
Virtus.pro: Redemption Arc
Virtus.pro has finally earned its LAN debut after conquering EMEA Ignite Stage 2, allowing them to validate their reputation as one of the scene’s elite squads.
In Stage 1, they missed out on the Mid-Season Finals after being knocked out by Citadel Gaming (formerly Brr Brr Patapim) after losing in the Lower Bracket Finals. During Stage 2, Virtus.pro won 4-2 against the same opponent in the Grand Finals.
Virtus.pro’s first international tournament will see them up against teams from the Americas, Asia, and Oceania. Will they sustain their Stage 2 momentum or falter on the world stage?
Season 4.5 Meta Landscape

Ignite Grand Finals will take place within Marvel Rivals Season 4.5, which will see major changes to several popular heroes.
Most compositions right now are dive with heroes like Venom featured throughout Ignite Stage 2. Many teams are probably going to do this again. Other characters to see a lot of play include Psylocke and Emma Frost, who saw some time during the Mid-Season Finals.
Triple support teams have become popular, with characters like Ultron and Jeff the Landshark providing sustain while doing a hefty amount of damage. In response, pro teams have been trying out damage-boosting tactics, which include Mantis to get kills.
The sports world is especially interested in whether Daredevil will show up. Daredevil, the newest hero shooter addition, has a peculiar flanking/dive playstyle and the ability to target priority targets and execute huge damage combos.
Fans will be able to catch the Grand Finals live in person at DreamHack Atlanta or on the official Marvel Rivals Twitch and YouTube channels.
