Los Ratones Set to Exit Tier-Two League of Legends Next Year

Los Ratones, a formidable force in the European League of Legends scene, has made a surprising announcement regarding their future. Founded by the charismatic Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont, the team captured the hearts of fans with its stellar performances. However, recent revelations have left supporters wondering about the team’s next steps.

Los Ratones founder Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont has announced that the team will not be competing in the second tier of League of Legends esports in 2026. This unexpected news came during one of Caedrel’s streams, where he expressed uncertainty about the team’s direction after competing in the LEC Versus season. Although the team has enjoyed success in the Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC) and European Regional Leagues (ERL), it seems they won’t be a part of these circuits next year.

Los Ratones In LEC Versus 2026

Emerging from their success in the ERL, Los Ratones is set to face off against Europe’s elite in the LEC Versus, marking the beginning of the 2026 LEC season. This competition features 12 teams in a round-robin format, with the top performers advancing to playoffs. The winner will not only claim the title of LEC Versus champion but also earn a spot in the First Stand, the season’s first international tournament.

The buzz surrounding Los Ratones’ participation in the LEC Versus is palpable. While their future beyond the season remains unclear, a commendable performance could secure their place on the European stage for an extended period.
