During the media day leading up to the Worlds 2025 Grand Final, featuring the much-anticipated showdown between T1 and KT Rolster, Riot Games revealed the exciting locations for the event. Allen, Texas, will set the stage for the Play-In, Swiss stage, and the Playoffs. Meanwhile, the iconic New York City will host the climactic Grand Final. While exact venues are still under wraps, the announcement marks a return to hosting the event in multiple cities, reminiscent of the 2023 tournament in Busan and Seoul.
First Stand 2026 Heads To Brazil
In tandem with the Worlds announcement, Riot Games also unveiled plans for the second edition of First Stand, the inaugural international tournament of 2026. São Paulo, Brazil, will play host from March 16th to 22nd, introducing an expanded roster of eight teams and best-of-five matches throughout. This isn’t São Paulo’s first brush with LoL glory, as it was the stage for the 2017 Mid-Season Invitational, where SK Telecom T1 emerged victorious.
Mid-Season Invitational 2026 Returns To Korea
League of Legends enthusiasts can also anticipate the return of the Mid-Season Invitational to South Korean soil for the first time since 2022. The vibrant city of Daejeon is set to host this second international event of the year. While specific dates are yet to be disclosed, the 2025 edition took place in late June and early July, hinting at a similar schedule for 2026.
