Levi Bids Farewell to League of Legends Pro Scene
Vietnamese professional League of Legends player Đỗ ‘Levi’ Duy Khánh has announced his retirement, closing a decade-long chapter in competitive gaming. Levi shared this decision with fans through a heartfelt video on his birthday, marking the end of a career that saw him rise as one of the most prominent figures in the Vietnamese esports scene.
The Journey of a Legend
Starting his professional journey in 2015, Levi quickly became a standout jungler, notably with the Gigabyte Marines, as he led them to significant international tournaments like MSI and Worlds. His bold, aggressive playstyle caught the eye of top-tier teams, resulting in a stint with 100 Thieves in North America in 2018. He later joined JDG in China’s LPL for the 2019 spring split, becoming one of only two Vietnamese players in the league. Despite his international ventures, Levi found his greatest success back home with GAM Esports, where he spent his final professional years.
Reflecting on Achievements and Future Plans
Levi’s career is decorated with impressive achievements, including ten domestic championships and a gold medal at the 31st SEA Games. However, he expressed some regret for not achieving greater international success with a Vietnamese team. “There’s one thing I really wanted to do, and that is to help VCS go further in international tournaments,” he stated. Health issues and a desire to spend more time with family contributed to his decision to retire. Levi now plans to transition into content creation, potentially co-streaming official matches in the future.
As GAM Esports prepares for the upcoming season, the team faces the challenge of filling the void left by Levi’s departure, searching for a new jungler and support. This marks a significant transition for the team, which is currently restructuring for 2026 after missing out on Worlds qualification in 2025.
