In a bold new venture, Kojima Productions has teamed up with exoskeleton manufacturer Dnsys to bring a slice of the Death Stranding universe into the real world. Introducing the Death Stranding 2 On The Beach limited edition exoskeleton, this unique gadget promises to provide knee support, much like Sam Porter’s iconic gear. The collaboration was unveiled through Kojima Productions’ official social media channels, sparking excitement among fans globally.
An Innovative Partnership
On November 8, Kojima Productions teased this intriguing collaboration with a cryptic message hinting at a new experience bridging the game and reality. Fans speculated wildly, throwing out guesses from gaming chairs to headsets, but some eagle-eyed followers noted similarities to Sam’s exoskeleton from zoomed-in previews.

The wait ended when the partnership was confirmed to be a functional exoskeleton, crafted in collaboration with Dnsys and designed by Kojima Productions’ art director Yoji Shinkawa. This high-tech gear mirrors the aesthetics and functionality of its in-game counterpart.
From Game to Reality
“We designed this exoskeleton with the same passion and precision as if it were built for the world of Death Stranding,” Shinkawa explained. “Every detail was refined to bring the game’s futuristic vision into reality, creating something Sam himself might wear.” The battery-powered exoskeleton incorporates lights to indicate power levels, echoing the game’s technology, and while there’s no Bridge Baby included, this piece of equipment is more than a cosplay accessory. According to Dnsys’ website, it boosts lower body strength and eases knee pain by redistributing body weight, emulating the load-balancing mechanics of the game. It even boasts the ability to make you feel up to 44 pounds lighter.
