Introducing the Certified Talent Agents Initiative

The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has unveiled an exciting new initiative aimed at enhancing the esports industry. The Certified Talent Agents Program is set to acknowledge and support organizations that represent talent across esports, gaming, and entertainment sectors.

This groundbreaking program establishes a new standard for agents and agencies working with esports athletes. Talent agencies such as SEG Esports and Prodigy Agency have already joined as the inaugural members, marking a significant step in the program’s development.

A New Benchmark for Esports Representation

In collaboration with over 15 global agencies, ESIC has crafted this initiative to tackle various challenges within the sector. This structured framework ensures that agents adhere to a rigorous evaluation process, which includes financial checks and criminal background assessments. Accredited agents must commit to a code of conduct that safeguards client interests while promoting accountability. Stephen Hanna, CEO of ESIC, emphasized, “By providing a clear, credible pathway for talent agents, we are addressing an area that has been largely unregulated and often problematic for players.”

ESIC’s Expansive Role in 2025

Throughout the year, ESIC has been actively reinforcing measures to uphold integrity within the esports landscape. In collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organisation, ESIC launched the International Games and Esports Tribunal in January, offering dispute resolution services. Moreover, the Commission issued interim suspensions to CS2 teams SENZA and Northern Lights in October, citing breaches of the anti-corruption code. ESIC’s Anti-Corruption network also continues to grow, with companies like BETBY and Thunderpick joining to monitor and investigate dubious betting practices.
