The excitement around Intel’s upcoming Arrow Lake Refresh series reaches new heights as leaks provide a clearer picture of the specifications. These new CPUs are expected to bring significant enhancements, including increased core counts and boosted frequencies, making them a tantalizing prospect for tech enthusiasts and gamers alike.
Enhanced Performance with Arrow Lake Refresh
Reports suggest that the Arrow Lake Refresh lineup, featuring the “Plus” designation, will introduce more E-cores and higher P-core frequencies. The Core Ultra 9 290K Plus and Core Ultra 5 250K Plus models stand out with 100 MHz frequency increments, while the Ultra 7 270K Plus and 250K Plus will see a boost in E-cores. The Ultra 9 290K Plus is set to replace the 285K model with identical core counts but with an increased Max P-Core frequency and a 5.8 GHz Thermal Velocity Boost, marking a 100 MHz improvement over its predecessor.
Improvements Across the Lineup
The Core Ultra 7 270K Plus will mirror the clock speeds of the 265K but benefit from four additional E-Cores, totaling 24 cores. Similarly, the Core Ultra 5 250K will be upgraded with four extra E-cores and a 100 MHz increase in Max P-core frequency, making it an 18-core CPU, slotting between the Core Ultra 7 265K and Core Ultra 5 245K. This aligns with Intel’s trend of boosting core counts, a strategy observed in previous series like Raptor Lake Refresh.
Memory Support and Specifications
The enhanced CPUs will also offer better memory support, officially backing 7200 MT/s, an improvement over the current models’ 6400 MT/s. This upgrade is expected to push DDR5 memory capabilities further, appealing to enthusiasts aiming to break frequency records.
