Princess Peach is a playable character when you first enter Mario Kart World. You need to put in some work to get Daisy, the pretty brunette. No matter if you want to switch between both the princesses or have your multiplayer fun with family or friends you can easily add Daisy to the roster with very little effort.
Unlocking Daisy: Easier Than You Think
Unlocking Daisy follows a pattern set by other Mario Kart games. In Mario Kart Double Dash, she partners with Peach by default. But in Mario Kart World, she has to be earned through the gameplay.
To complete the process, simply finish the Flower Cup in Grand Prix Mode. You don’t need to win. In fact, you don’t even need to place on the podium, just finish all of the races in the cup. You can select between the 50cc, 100cc, or 150cc range based on your comfort level, no matter the difficulty level.
The Flower Cup Journey
The Flower Cup takes you through four distinct tracks.
- Desert Hills.
- Shy Guy Bazaar.
- Wario Stadium.
- Airship Fortress.
Daisy’s cup is a fitting challenge to unlock her. This flower emblem suits her because just as we find Peach with a crown and Rosalina with a star, Daisy, too, has flowers! These symbols appear prominently on their racing outfits.
The kingdom of Sarasaland is the homeland of Daisy, but also home to another character. She is only one of three characters with the special outfit from Oasis which shows that she is royalty and the land she rules.
Once you win the Flower Cup, Daisy will be added to the roster. She is feisty and energetic.
