In Dune Awakening, players are trapped in the desert planet of Arrakis. The game has a very big map that takes hours to fully explore. It is challenging to walk across this harsh terrain because heat stroke and deadly sandworms are a constant threat and any longer journey is almost impossible. Getting a Sandbike is essential for survival and exploration in this harsh world.
The main story campaign of the game guides players towards getting their first Sandbike naturally. This major milestone occurs in the final section of South Hagga Basin, and is the starting area for new players. You will get the Sandbike through the A New Beginning questline. After you explore the Wreck of the Alcyon, you get access to the vehicle during the Across the Gap quest. Players need to do research on the Sandbike Mk1 Assembly before they can build it.
Gathering Materials and Crafting Components
Before the players start the construction of Sandbike, they should make First Welding Torch Mk1. This essential material sits inside the car to facilitate the assembly process along with welding wire. Without these items, construction cannot proceed.
To complete a Sandbike, one’s Chassis, Hull, Engine, PSU and three Treads, must be built. The total material cost requires: 43 Copper Ingot, 6 Particle Capacitor and 13 Advanced Servok. Players must collect enough resources before starting the assembly process.
Assembly Process and Final Steps
After a player crafts and stores all the required items in the inventory, they can get crafting. By going to an open area and equipping the Welding Torch, a construction interface will appear where the Sandbike will be represented in a see-through outline along with guides showing where each part must be placed. Building articles still not installed are shown in yellow highlighting.
Fueling and Customization Options
The Sandbike needs a Small Vehicle Fuel Cell to be usable after assembly. You can easily find these fuel cells when exploring and looting Arrakis. Gamers can also customize their vehicle by adding either more Inventory pay storage or choosing a Backseat attachment, whatever suits their playstyle and transport needs.
Essential Maintenance and Protection
Upon the completion of Sandbike construction should start researching and developing the Vehicle Backup Tool. This handy item enables players to quickly inject their car into the game and keep it protected from the elements. The most important benefit, it protects against damaging Sandstorms that could destroy unprotected vehicles that may be left out in the open desert.
The Vehicle Backup Tool basically turns the Sandbike into a portable item. This way, players never lose their mode of transportation to Arrakis’s harsh environment. This protection is necessary for sustaining long-term exploration and survival on the planet.
