Honor of Kings Unveils Global Esports League for 2026

Level Infinite is set to transform the competitive landscape of Honor of Kings for the 2026 season. By introducing significant changes to its regional league structure, the developer aims to enhance the global esports experience and create more balanced competition opportunities.

Introducing the Honor of Kings Major League

Level Infinite has unveiled plans for a new cross-regional league called the Honor of Kings Major League (KML), which will unite three existing leagues: the Wildcard Kings Series (WKS), Major West League (KMW), and Major East League (KME). This consolidation marks a strategic move to streamline the global competition into a singular, more cohesive league structure. Additionally, four national leagues will continue to operate across Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Brazil, alongside the newly formed KML. This revised structure reduces the number of global leagues from seven to five.

Roster Rules for 2026

Complementing these structural adjustments are updated roster rules aimed at fostering equitable competition. For the 2026 season, teams must consist of a minimum of five players and a maximum of seven, with the opportunity to include one non-resident player. Each roster is required to have at least two players from the team’s home country and a total of four from the regional division. Players from the Greater China division will face classification as import players in other divisions, ensuring a level playing field across regions.

Expanding the Global Esports Ecosystem

These changes are part of Honor of Kings’ broader strategy to expand its global esports ecosystem and support international market growth. By integrating teams from Macau and Hong Kong back into China’s esports scene, Level Infinite continues to reinforce its commitment to nurturing local talent and enhancing the competitive landscape. Alongside these efforts, Honor of Kings maintains its franchised league, the King Pro League (KPL), based in China.
