G2 Esports has unveiled an exciting collaboration with NORD Esports to introduce a fresh team in the world of League of Legends. This dynamic partnership marks a significant step as both organizations aim to make a substantial impact in the competitive gaming arena.
The Birth of G2 NORD
G2 NORD is set to compete in the Prime League, the esteemed European Regional League (ERL) for the DACH region. Their mission is clear: to assemble a competitive roster capable of dominating the league and achieving remarkable success at the EMEA Masters. This new initiative signifies a strategic move to strengthen G2’s presence in the League of Legends scene.
NORD Esports has announced its withdrawal from the Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC). Meanwhile, German insurance giant LVM Versicherung joins as a founding partner, demonstrating its commitment to nurturing emerging League of Legends talent in Germany.
Building a Legacy
Alban Dechelotte, CEO of G2 Esports, expressed the organization’s vision of creating a global entity that resonates with fans worldwide. Through G2 NORD, they aspire to establish a deeper connection with German fans, making them an integral part of the G2 Army. Former League of Legends player Niklot ‘Tolkin’ Stüber will lead this venture as the team’s President.
The team’s lineup features accomplished players such as Francesco ‘Shelfmade’ Cardia, Mark ‘Markoon’ van Woensel, Alex ‘Toasty’ Chea, Khalil ‘Rin’ Sahraoui, and Timo ‘Tockimo’ Bock.
G2 Esports and Their League Of Legends Journey
Since 2014, G2 Esports has been a prominent force in the European League of Legends scene, originally known as Gamers2. Recently, the organization disbanded G2 Hel, its successful women’s League of Legends team, marking the end of an era in women’s European competitions. With G2 NORD’s promising roster, all eyes are on their performance in the Prime League against seasoned competitors.
