First Glimpse of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2’s Techmarine Class — Featuring PNG File Name Easter Eggs
An exciting reveal for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 fans has just been announced with the introduction of the Techmarine class. The unveiling includes a glimpse of the formidable Omnissian Axe.
Focus Entertainment has shared a detailed image of the Omnissian Axe along with a multi-angle view of the Techmarine model, stirring anticipation among players.
Exciting New Class Features
The Techmarine will be introduced to Saber Interactive’s high-octane third-person action game with Patch 12 set for early next year. Its Omnissian Axe, a melee halberd-style weapon, boasts exclusive animations, finishers, and a progression system.
This innovative class features a Servo-Gun ability, automatically targeting enemies, and a passive skill that repairs Tarantula Sentry Guns in existing PvE levels. Focus Entertainment has confirmed these exciting capabilities, promising a powerful addition to the game.
Easter Eggs Hidden Within
Adding a touch of fun, Focus Entertainment has embedded quirky Easter eggs in the PNG file names for both the Techmarine and its Omnissian Axe. Notably, the Techmarine’s file name in binary translates to the playful phrase “fine shyt,” tickling fans of the grimdark universe.
For those less familiar with Warhammer 40,000 lore, the Techmarine serves as an engineer-type class deeply connected to the Cult Mechanicus and their Chapter, adept at reviving machinery.
Future Updates and Content Plans
More information is anticipated regarding the Chaos Techmarine’s Traitor Legion association in PvP. Expect updates soon.
Focus Entertainment has laid out an extensive roadmap for Space Marine 2 patches up to 15, guiding players through to June 2026. The first quarter of 2026 will see the Techmarine’s release, the introduction of a Battle Barge expansion, and a new Siege map in the second quarter.
Saber Interactive remains committed to developing Space Marine 3, ensuring that ongoing support for Space Marine 2 does not detract from resources for the sequel.
