Star Wars enthusiasts and racing game fans alike have something exciting to look forward to in Star Wars: Galactic Racer. This adrenaline-pumping arcade racer, developed by Fuse Games and published by Secret Mode, was unveiled at The Game Awards 2025. Set to launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S in 2026, the game promises a thrilling blend of pod racing and high-speed speeder action, inviting players to experience the Star Wars universe in a whole new way.

An Innovative Racing Adventure

Star Wars: Galactic Racer was one of the standout announcements at The Game Awards, marking the sixth Star Wars game currently known to be in development. It joins an exciting lineup including Star Wars Eclipse, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Remake, Star Wars Fate of the Old Republic, Star Wars Zero Company, and the third installment of the Star Wars Jedi series. With its unique approach, Galactic Racer aims to expand the horizons of what a racing game can offer within the Star Wars franchise.

Revving Up the Star Wars Universe

Matt Webster, CEO at Fuse Games, expressed the team’s vision for the game: “With Star Wars: Galactic Racer, we wanted to reinvent what a racing game can be: adventurous, spectacular and exhilarating. We want every race to feel alive with dynamic risk-reward choices, and every victory to feel incredible.” Echoing this sentiment, Douglas Reilly, Vice President and General Manager at Lucasfilm, noted how the game captures the essence of Star Wars’ racing culture, elevating it to a new form of adventure.

Customize and Conquer

In Star Wars: Galactic Racer, players will have the freedom to build and customize their rides, joining the Galactic League to rise from humble beginnings in the Outer Rim to become celebrated racing champions. The game’s unique runs-based design ensures that “no two runs are the same,” keeping the racing experience fresh and engaging every time.
