After going through the levels of Oblivion’s gates and going on countless dungeons, the user gets to experience a different type of journey thanks to the weird expansion. The Shivering Isles is an unforgettable installment for the beloved RPG, offering a twisted add-on ruled by daedric prince Sheogorath, who is devil-may-care. Just because you’ve spent a lot of time in Cyrodiil does not mean you should pass it up – Shivering Isles is a vibrant world with unsettling overtones.
Discovering The Path To The Isles
The door to this strange place may open in more than one way. While the players are travelling through Cyrodiil cities, they might hear rumours of something strange. But for those who do not hang about in pubs or the local hoity-toity, having the “Strange Door” show up in their Log in Niben Bay will likely be the way to go.
To get to the portal quickly, fast travel to the northern gate of Bravil. From there, head east toward the lake. Just off the coast, you can see the solitary island with the door. This is the entrance to the Shivering Isles.

Preparation Before The Descent Into Madness
Before entering Sheogorath’s realm, it is recommended to level up and enhance your character. Although the enemies level with you, the challenge on the Isles is a steep climb from the very beginning. ideally, we recommend you reach level 20 or finish the core quest of the base game before proceeding with Plague of the Dead Gods.
Yet, nothing remains impossible for those adventurers who are unwilling to wait for the main quest to drop and head south for this bizarre dimension right away.
Confronting The Door And Crossing The Threshold
As you approach the Strange Door, you will find a guard next to the door. The guard looks concerned as he has to deal with a madman, who came through the door. When you’re done helping, walk up to the door and interact with it. You hear the voice of Sheogorath, which is unmistakable and it taunts you with a challenge. If you persist, the Daedric Prince eventually grants entry.
When you cross the portal, you will find yourself in a room where you will meet Haskill, a weirdly calm servant of Sheogorath. Sitting at a desk, Haskill offers only vague explanations. You are then given a choice: serve Sheogorath as his champion, gaining madness and wonder, or turn back with your mind and body still your own.
