Bethesda has officially announced the worldwide release times for the highly anticipated Doom: The Dark Ages.
The upcoming title will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S, with identical launch times across all platforms. Players who have purchased the Premium Edition will gain early access starting today, May 12, providing them with a 48-hour head start before the standard release date.
Some gamers who received their physical copies ahead of schedule have reported that even PS5 discs require downloading the complete game before playing, although Bethesda has not officially confirmed this requirement.
Early assessments of id Software’s latest shooter have been positive. Critics note that while Doom: The Dark Ages moves away from the mobility-focused gameplay of Doom Eternal, it introduces a weightier and more powerful combat style that differs from previous entries in the franchise while remaining extremely satisfying in its own right.
