Discover the Exciting Esports Lineup for the 2025 SEA Games

As 2025 draws to a close, excitement is building for the SEA Games, where esports will once again shine as a medal discipline amidst the traditional sports lineup. This biennial event continues to innovate, with a fresh selection of games that promise thrilling competitions.

SEA Games And Esports

Since its introduction in 2019, esports has been a dynamic part of the SEA Games, debuting with titles like Tekken 7, Hearthstone, and Dota 2. The 2021 games expanded to ten medal events across eight games, including women’s events for League of Legends: Wild Rift. By 2023, six games were featured in nine competitions. Looking ahead to 2025, only four esports titles have been chosen for six medal events. Scheduled from December 13th to 19th in Bangkok, Thailand, the Huamark Sports Training Center will host most tournaments, with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang matches held at Chulalongkorn University.

SEA Games 2025 Esports Titles

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang will lead the 33rd SEA Games, featuring both men’s and women’s tournaments for the fourth time. The game’s developer, MOONTON Games, has partnered with the Thailand E-Sports Federation to foster economic opportunities through esports. Arena of Valor, another popular MOBA, continues its run as a medal event since esports debuted. Free Fire, a beloved first-person shooter in Southeast Asia, returns after its first appearance in 2021. Rounding out the lineup is FC Online, the only non-mobile title. These games highlight the growing influence of mobile esports in the region.
