The Nottingham-based studio, boasting a talented team of 194 employees, is zeroing in on a launch window for Dead Island 3. The game is rumored to be targeting a release in either Q1 or Q2 of 2028. This timeline hints that fans might not have long to wait, provided there are no unforeseen delays.

The Journey of Dead Island 2

Dead Island 2, which graced gamers worldwide on April 21, 2023, had its share of bumps along the road to release. Originally developed by Yager and teased at Gamescom 2014, the project faced several setbacks. Deep Silver, unsatisfied with its direction, transitioned development first to Sumo Digital in 2016 and later to Dambuster Studios. Despite such hurdles, the game delivered a thrilling experience that won over the fanbase, paving the way for Dambuster to embark on the development of Dead Island 3.
