Vehicles serve as crucial tools for any porter navigating the challenging landscapes of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. In the sequel, there’s more focus on vehicles due to heavier cargo loads, rugged landscapes, and deadlier threats that are capable of harming the cargo.
Unlike the first Death Stranding game, the sequel lets you use a new vehicle called the Tri-Cruiser, and it’s a lot earlier than the first game when you first get to use a vehicle. Throughout the game’s early hours in Mexico, you will receive this trike as part of the main story. You need parts and weapons to defeat Brigands, Ghost-Mechs or extend battery life so that you can get the most out of both the Tri-Cruiser and the later Off-Roaders.
Most vehicles and upgrades will naturally become available as you progress through the story; however, some will be unlocked exclusively by forging connection with specific facilities, preppers and outposts across Australia. You can only modify and upgrade your vehicles at garage locations or at the DHV Magellan site.
This guide will help you get all the vehicles and parts. They also detail the breakdown of capabilities and specifications.

Tri-Cruiser
A battery-powered trike, the Tri-Cruiser offers both speed and handling. This vehicle can wheelie and climb steep hills with ease to cross rough terrain. The trike can float on water but its battery will run out quickly.
Watch out for electrical attacks which will short the trike and not allow it to work for some time.

Pickup Off-Roader
The Pickup Off-Roader is a customizable battery-powered truck that can transport heavy loads. This vehicle can drive on any surface, but it works best on paved roads.
Just like the tri-cruiser, this off-roader’s battery drains quickly when driven through water. Moreover, electrical attacks will offer a quick disable through short-circuiting.
