From Steam to Consoles: ICARUS Evolves

Initially launched on Steam in late 2021, ICARUS faced a rocky start but gradually built a dedicated fanbase thanks to consistent developer support. The console version promises enhancements and the inclusion of the New Frontiers expansion, introducing the alien region Prometheus and expanding the terrain with new challenges and missions. Console players can anticipate a refined ICARUS experience due to over 200 weeks of updates.

Console Development and Features

The transition to consoles required partnering with GRIP Studios, a team well-versed in survival games. Changes include adapting controls for consoles and optimizing the game for a seamless experience on these platforms. While crossplay won’t be possible due to the distinct PC and console versions, the console edition will maintain the essence of the original game while offering a unique playing style.
