CXMT Unveils New DDR5 Memory: Blazing 8000 MT/s Speeds for Gamers and Tech Enthusiasts
CXMT has announced its pioneering DDR5 and LPDDR5X memory products for the Chinese market, offering increased speeds and a variety of choices.
Unveiling Cutting-Edge Memory Solutions
In recent developments, CXMT (ChangXin Memory Technologies) has officially launched its next-generation DRAM products, which include the highly anticipated DDR5 and LPDDR5X memory. This announcement was made at the 2025 China International Semiconductor Expo, marking a significant milestone for the company, which previously set its sights on competing with major players like Samsung, SK hynix, and Micron.

Versatile DDR5 and LPDDR5X Offerings
The CXMT DDR5 memory is available in 16 Gb and 24 Gb densities, delivering speeds of up to 8000 MT/s. The comprehensive range of products includes DRAM UDIMM, SODIMM, RDIMM, CSODIMM, CUDIMM, and TFF MRDIMM, all equipped with CXMT DDR5 ICs. These products cater to various market segments such as Data Centers, Desktop PCs, and Laptops. Additionally, CXMT’s DDR5 ICs have found applications in ASGARD’s gaming memory kits, offering impressive overclocking capabilities. ASGARD was among the pioneers to introduce CUDIMM DDR5 to the market.
Alongside DDR5, CXMT has rolled out its LPDDR5X products, featuring 12 Gb and 16 Gb densities capable of up to 10,667 MT/s. These chips support capacities of 12 GB, 16 GB, 24 GB, and 32 GB, targeting laptops, embedded platforms, and AI markets.

Impact on the Global DRAM Market
CXMT’s DDR5 launch comes at a pivotal moment when global DRAM suppliers are struggling to meet the surging demand from the AI sector, resulting in significant price hikes. With the introduction of its own DDR5 production, China aims to reduce its dependency on foreign manufacturers, ensuring a consistent supply for its domestic market.
