CRKD Rocks On With Innovative Drum Kit Controller

The buzz is building in the gaming world as CRKD has announced a new addition to its lineup: a drum kit controller set to launch next year. With four pads and three cymbals, this new device promises to be an exciting tool for rhythm game enthusiasts.

A New Beat in Gaming Controllers

Unlike the acclaimed Gibson Les Paul Guitar Controller, the CRKD Drum Kit Controller doesn’t appear to be part of any licensed partnership. The teaser video shared on YouTube showcases the kit without any visible branding, like a Zildjian logo. Its jet black design might remind you more of the PDP Riffmaster, rather than CRKD’s previous guitar controllers.

What We Know So Far

CRKD remains secretive about the controller’s specifics, offering no details on console compatibility or connectivity. However, the teaser video reveals a few insights. Notably, the drum kit appears to disassemble into smaller components, similar to the modular design of their guitar series, and the presence of lights beneath the drum pads suggests wireless capabilities.

Ready for Rhythm Games

The drum kit resembles a solid gaming setup, complete with a robust bass drum pedal. Despite this, its layout isn’t particularly faithful to a traditional drum kit, with close-set drum heads and awkward cymbal positions. Regardless, it’s designed for rhythm-based games like Clone Hero and YARG. Although Fortnite Festival doesn’t support drum controllers yet, this new release might herald updates in the future.

The CRKD Drum Kit Controller is poised to hit the market next year, offering gamers a fresh rhythm gaming experience.
