Core Ultra 7 270K Plus Boasts 9.5% Higher Multi-Core Score in PassMark Compared to Ultra 7 265K; Nearly Matches 285K Performance

Exciting developments are on the horizon for technology enthusiasts as new benchmarks for Intel’s anticipated Arrow Lake Refresh CPUs have emerged. These high-end processors are set to make a splash at CES 2026, and recent data gives us a glimpse into their impressive capabilities.

Core Ultra 7 270K Plus: A Powerhouse in the Making

The Core Ultra 7 270K Plus is generating buzz with its benchmark performance on PassMark, positioning itself as a formidable contender against the higher-end Core Ultra 9 285K. Known for its reliable performance metrics, PassMark highlights the 270K Plus’s prowess in multi-threaded tasks. This processor stands out for its enhanced core configuration, boasting four additional E-cores that push it closer in performance to the Core Ultra 9 285K.

In single-core performance, the 270K Plus edges ahead of the Core Ultra 7 265K by approximately 3% and surpasses it by about 9.5% in multi-core tests. This performance brings it tantalizingly close to the 285K, solidifying its standing as a top-tier option for power users.

Featuring the same 24-core setup as the 285K, with a combination of 8 performance and 16 efficiency cores, the 270K Plus offers similar clock speeds, except in the maximum E-core boost, and boasts a higher cache than its predecessor, the Ultra 7 265K.

Anticipating the Arrow Lake Refresh Lineup

With benchmarks currently limited to just two samples, expectations are high for more comprehensive results as additional testing occurs. The Arrow Lake Refresh lineup will feature three primary models: Core Ultra 5 250K Plus, Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, and Core Ultra 9 290K Plus. These processors are anticipated to deliver slightly higher clock speeds and core counts, particularly with the enhancements seen in the 270K Plus and 250K Plus.

The specs for the upcoming Arrow Lake Refresh CPUs reveal a promising future for Intel’s high-performance offerings, positioning them as strong contenders in the competitive processor market.
