Controlez Joins The MongolZ for StarLadder Budapest Major Reveal

The MongolZ esports organization has made headlines with the announcement that Unudelger ‘Controlez’ Baasanjargal will be a part of their starting lineup for the rest of the 2025 season. This decision comes as the team prepares to participate in several major tournaments, showcasing their strength and ambition on the global stage.

The Rise of Controlez

Controlez is set to represent The MongolZ at the StarLadder Budapest Major this November. Reports suggest that this will be his second Major appearance of the year, following his performance with Chinggis Warriors at the BLAST.tv Austin Major in June. In addition to the Budapest Major, Controlez will compete at the IEM Chengdu 2025 and BLAST Rivals Fall events, allowing ample integration time before the Major kicks off on November 24th. Controlez’s inclusion could be pivotal as The MongolZ aims to maintain their top spot in the Counter-Strike 2 world rankings.

The MongolZ In 2025

Throughout 2025, The MongolZ has cemented itself as a powerhouse in the Counter-Strike 2 scene. Their accolades include winning the Esports World Cup and securing second place at FISSURE Playground 2, BLAST Bounty Season 2, and the Austin Major. However, with Controlez stepping in, there is speculation about whether he can match the formidable performance of his predecessor, Senzu, on the server.

The team will soon test their mettle at the IEM Chengdu 2025 from November 3rd to 9th, where Controlez will make his competitive debut with The MongolZ. This Tier 1 event will see 16 teams vying for a portion of the $300,000 (~£228,745) prize pool, setting the stage for intense battles and showcasing elite esports talent.
