This is a guide on how to defeat the Moon Lord in Palworld and the rewards you will receive for it.
The newest update for Palworld, Tides of Terraria, has introduced a new raid boss: Moon Lord. Palworld is a open-world adventure game that has become popular with gamers worldwide. With this guide, you’ll find out how to prepare for and defeat the boss.
Preparing for the Moon Lord Challenge
You need to prepare a proper arena before fighting the Moon Lord. The Summoning Altar is found in Ancient Technology. It unlocks when your technology level is 32. It is your location for a raid. Construction requires 100 Stone and 20 Palidum Fragments.
Think about making a separate base for raid fights since the Moon Lord can really wreck your building. Make strong barricades around the Summoning Altar to protect your building from getting damaged unnecessarily. Be sure to place a working Pal in the Palbox so they don’t get collateral damage during the big fight.
Obtaining the Celestial Sigil
To summon the Moon Lord, you’ll need a Celestial Sigil. When you beat the Eye of Cthulhu boss in the new Terraria-inspired secret dungeon you can get the schematic for this item as a drop. The schematic can be taken to the production assembly line and have the sigil crafted with 100 Hallowed bars by the Pals.
You can find these Hallowed bars in dungeon chests in new Terraria section. Doing a dungeon run should yield enough stuff for 1 or 2 sigils. Remember, you’ll need a new one for each Moon Lord fight, as every Celestial Sigil is one-time use only.
Battle Strategy for the Moon Lord
The Moon Lord is a level 50 raid boss with over 400,000 HP. Rocket launchers and guided missile launchers are effective at long-range combat in this battle. Make sure to buy enough ammo and healing potions before starting your fight.
Solo players should consider reaching level 55 or higher for this challenge. Even with top-tier armor lower level players will struggle a lot. The boss has three big weak points that we need to take advantage of. Namely, the eye in each hand and the one on his head.
Rewards for Defeating the Moon Lord
The Moon Lord is the second hardest boss in adventurers. Doing away with it will earn you various rewards. The Ancient Civilsation Cores and Ancient Colouration Parts will belong to you. Apart from that, you will receive pendants, skill fruit, and a random legendary weapon or armour.
The Moon Lord’s fate differs from the other bosses in Palworld in that you cannot capture him unlike the rest. Additionally, he also cannot be hatch into an egg. Due to being a special crossover boss from Terraria, this design may have been intentional.
