Cloud9 Kia has revealed an exciting new partnership with Conviction for the upcoming North American Challengers League (NACL) 2025 season. The collaboration aims to strengthen Conviction’s competitive edge with expert coaching from Cloud9’s seasoned staff.
Coaching Support to Elevate Conviction’s Roster
As part of the deal, Cloud9 Kia will provide strategic guidance through Marius ‘Veigar V2’ Aune, their Strategic Coach, and Nicholas ‘Inero’ Smith, Assistant Coach. The organisation emphasised that this move aligns with their dedication to nurturing emerging talent in the North American League of Legends scene.
Conviction is currently battling it out in the NACL Split 1 2025 Playoffs, which started on 15 May 2025 and runs until 6 June 2025. The tournament features the top six teams from the regular season, competing in a double-elimination bracket with best-of-five matches under Fearless Draft rules.
Conviction’s Excitement for the Partnership
Conviction expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating that they are eager to see what the partnership with Cloud9 will bring for the rest of the year. The organisation first introduced its new roster on 21 March 2025, following their acquisition of Tempest Gaming’s former lineup.

This deal marks another strategic move for Cloud9 in a year packed with major developments. Earlier in January 2025, the organisation secured a naming rights partnership with Kia America, rebranding their League of Legends team as Cloud9 Kia for the season.
