Berlin International Gaming (BIG) is undergoing a roster change as they bid farewell to Counter-Strike 2 player Can ‘kyuubii’ Ali. After a 12-month journey filled with competition within both the main and academy squads, kyuubii parts ways with the German esports organization. His departure marks the end of a chapter that included participation in several major events, such as IEM Katowice 2025 and PGL Astana 2025.
Berlin International Gaming (BIG) has announced it has parted ways with Counter-Strike 2 player Can ‘kyuubii’ Ali following a 12-month stint competing across the organisation’s main and academy rosters.
The Journey with BIG
Kyuubii embarked on his adventure with BIG in January 2025 after leaving Fnatic’s inactive roster. Despite facing tough competition in Tier 1 tournaments, BIG experienced success in smaller events, achieving runner-up positions at YaLLa Compass Winter 2025 and MESA Nomadic Masters Spring 2025. In August, kyuubii transitioned to BIG’s academy team, where he continued to compete in Tier 3 events, helping the team secure third place at DACH CS Masters Season 4 and a top-four finish at United21 Season 41.
“Thank you guys for making me feel like I was home. Unfortunately, things didn’t go the way we wanted to,” kyuubii expressed on X (Twitter). “We wanted to achieve great things together, but not everything clicked within the roster we had, and I am truly sad about that. This chapter ends here and a new one begins.”
BIG’s CS2 Teams at a Glance
Looking at BIG’s current standings, the main CS2 roster holds the 45th position in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS), while the academy roster has not yet reached the top 250. The organization is in the process of finalizing its lineup as it prepares for upcoming competitions in the first quarter of 2026. Meanwhile, kyuubii is actively seeking a new team to join. On another front, BIG EQUIPA has made significant strides by becoming the final champion of ESL Impact in December 2025, overcoming MIBR Female 2-1 in the Grand Final.
