Bethesda Warns Fallout 4 Modders Before Anniversary Edition Release; Patch to Enhance Gameplay and Add New Creations Menu

As the eagerly awaited release of the Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition approaches, Bethesda has unveiled the patch notes and exciting features of the new Creations Menu update. Set to launch on November 10, 2025, this update promises a slew of enhancements and content to celebrate the milestone of this popular post-apocalyptic role-playing game.

The Anniversary Edition will be available for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, commemorating Fallout 4’s 10th anniversary with a comprehensive package that includes all six official add-ons and a treasure trove of over 150 pieces of Creation Club content. The new in-game Creations menu is designed to streamline the process of discovering and downloading this user-created content across platforms.

Exciting New Features and Updates

The Creation Menu, debuting alongside the Anniversary Edition, promises more than fans anticipated. However, there’s a crucial notice for mod enthusiasts: from November 6 to 10, Fallout 4 mods will be under maintenance, temporarily taking the Creation Club offline. This period will halt new content downloads and uploads, although players can still modify their mod load orders and continue gameplay. Players are advised to disable mods affecting the main menu to avoid compatibility issues with the upcoming patch.

Thank you for your patience as we work to roll these changes out and lay the groundwork for things like additional storage for Creations.

On the gameplay front, patch notes reveal improvements that address long-standing issues. VATS Accuracy is now fine-tuned for consistency across all platforms, eliminating the frustrating 0% hit chance errors. Additionally, targeting foes through walls, without the Penetrator perk, has been rectified. Enhancements also extend to visual and performance boosts, including better support for Ultrawide and Super Ultrawide displays and improved resolution detection to prevent launch crashes.

A Glimpse into the Expanded Content

The Anniversary Edition offers an array of captivating new content. The Creation Club’s offerings will include distinctive weapons, power armor, and Pip Boy paint jobs. Bethesda teased fans with upcoming creations, such as a “slice of the Mojave Desert” in the Commonwealth, an escape room experience, and an interactive portrayal of your in-game spouse, voiced by the original actors. The package also features six official expansions: Far Harbor, Automatron, Nuka-World, Contraptions, Vault-Tec, and Wasteland Workshop, expanding the Fallout 4 universe.

In a first for Fallout 4, the Anniversary Edition will reach Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026, allowing players to experience the game on a Nintendo console. The patch notes detail the extensive updates and enhancements players can expect.
