Exciting times await as EA and Battlefield Studios unveil the first free trial for Battlefield 6. Gamers on PC, PlayStation 5 (PS5), and Xbox Series X | S can dive into the adrenaline-pumping Season 1 multiplayer maps and modes throughout Thanksgiving week.
This special event kicks off today, November 25, at 4 a.m. PT / 7 a.m. ET, and runs until December 2 at the same time. It’s a prime chance for players to experience the franchise’s most successful FPS shooter launch without any commitments.
The general manager of Battlefield, Byron Beede, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are extremely proud of what our amazing teams at Battlefield Studios have accomplished and tremendously excited about the community’s passion as we continue to build Battlefield for and with our fans.” The free trial provides newcomers with a taste of the renowned All Out Warfare experience.
Explore Battlefield 6 Playlists
Details from a recent blog post highlight that the Battlefield 6 free trial offers three distinct playlists to welcome new players: Initiation Breakthrough, Close Quarters Battle, and All-Out Warfare. Initiation Breakthrough is designed to introduce new players to the game’s dynamic destruction with 48-player matches alongside real players and bots. Close Quarters Combat puts an emphasis on swift gunplay in smaller map setups featuring Team Deathmatch and Sabotage modes. Meanwhile, All-Out Warfare allows trial players unrestricted access to Conquest, Escalation, and Breakthrough modes on the largest maps.
Although the full Battlefield 6 Season 1 experience isn’t available through the trial, players can still enjoy its core gameplay before deciding on the $69.99 game purchase. Players can look forward to maps such as Siege of Cairo, Blackwell Fields, and Eastwood.
Additional Perks and Progress Transfer
Additionally, EA has confirmed that participants of the previous Battlefield REDSEC event, which introduced free-to-play battle royale and Gauntlet modes, will carry over their progress to the Battlefield 6 free trial. Progress made during the trial will seamlessly transition to the full game if purchased. Players who log in by November 30 will also receive the exclusive long-range Lethal Force Weapon Package.
Since its release on October 10, 2025, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X | S, Battlefield 6 has been consistently updated with new content, including the Blackwell Fields and Eastwood maps, and numerous fixes and enhancements. Notably, the game achieved the highest sales month in the U.S. for any game in the past three years.
