For gaming enthusiasts and professionals alike, ASUS has unveiled a new power supply lineup that promises to be a game-changer for multi-GPU setups. With models available in various wattage capacities, this series is perfect for those building budget workstations while still demanding high performance.

Unveiling the PRO WS Platinum PSU Series

ASUS has expanded its premium-tier offerings with the introduction of the Pro WS Platinum power supply series. This new lineup is designed to deliver “peak performance” for even the most demanding professional workloads. The series includes three models with varying wattage capacities, each tailored to power multiple high-end GPUs like the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090. The Pro WS Platinum series supports the latest ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards, ensuring compatibility with cutting-edge graphics cards such as the GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX PRO 6000. These PSUs include gold-plated copper pins and color-coded connectors for efficient and reliable connections to the motherboard and GPUs.

Power and Reliability in Every Build

Available in 1600W, 2200W, and 3000W capacities, these fully modular power supplies allow users to connect only the necessary cables, resulting in a clean and efficient build. Notably, the 3000W model can support up to four GeForce RTX 5090 or RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs, while the 2200W version can power up to four GeForce RTX 5080 GPUs. To ensure reliable operation even under heavy loads, the PSUs feature extruded aluminum heatsinks and a ventilated chassis for optimal heat dissipation.

ASUS ensures high performance with gold-plated high-performance copper pins that can reduce connector temperatures by up to 10°C, enhancing reliability. The PSUs are rated at 80 Plus Platinum, offering nearly 94% efficiency under typical loads and over 90% efficiency at full capacity. With a 10-year warranty, these power supplies are an excellent choice for high-end builds and workstations. The 1600W model is priced at 479 Euros (US$552), the 2200W at 619 Euros (US$713), and the flagship 3000W at 899 Euros (US$1036). Currently, they are available for purchase in select EU regions such as Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with broader availability yet to be announced.
