ASRock is gearing up with new BIOS updates to support the next wave of AMD and Intel CPUs on their 600 and 800 series motherboards. These updates come as anticipation builds for the upcoming processor releases expected to be announced at CES 2026.
ASRock’s Latest BIOS Updates for AMD Zen 5 and Intel Arrow Lake
Recent BIOS updates from various manufacturers have begun supporting the forthcoming AMD processors. ASRock has rolled out a stable BIOS update, incorporating AGESA v1.2.7.1, specifically designed for AMD 600 and 800 series motherboards. Unlike previous beta versions, this stable release promises enhanced support for upcoming CPUs.

ASRock’s recent updates also cover some 800 series Intel motherboards, alongside several AM5 models like the X870 and B650, ensuring they are ready to handle the latest technology.

The processors in focus are the Ryzen 9000X3D series, such as the Ryzen 7 9850X3D and Ryzen 9 9950X3D, as well as the Ryzen 9000G/10000G Zen 5 APUs. These CPUs are poised to be unveiled at CES 2026, from January 6 to 9. More BIOS updates for remaining 800 and other 600 series ASRock motherboards are anticipated soon.
Intel Motherboards Prepared for New Generation
On the Intel front, ASRock has introduced BIOS version 2.12, which includes the latest Intel microcode and ME version, ensuring compatibility with future Intel processors. Models like the B860M-X Gen5 and its WiFi variant are now equipped to support Intel’s upcoming Arrow Lake Refresh CPUs.
